In addition to our yearly festival, the Silver Lake Film Festival is pleased to present original conTent, as well as cutting-edge year-round special programming at community venues, galleries and theatres in the Silver Lake and Los Angeles community.

 

MP4Fest programming: Now in its second year, MP4Fest 2007 will be held May 3rd-12th concurrent with Silver Lake Film Festival, Los Angeles' leading independent film and video showcase, at the ArcLight Cinemas as well as at venues throughout the city. This festival within a festival consists of several related programs that all have the common basis of exploring new creative applications for cutting-edge technologies.

Music Fest programming: Produced by Silver Lake Film Festival, MusicFest is an original mix of music documentary films and live musical performances presented in the entertainment capital of the word. The vision of MusicFest reflects the creative vibe of Silver Lake and its surrounding Los Angeles communities where the arts tend to blend. An artist might behind a video camera one day and behind a drum set the next.

Silver Lake Shorts: Silver Lake Shorts is presented every 3rd Sunday of the month at 8PM at the Akbar bar and club screening room (4356 Sunset Boulevard, in Silverlake). Our eclectic programming, created monthly by guest curators, ranges from computer generated shorts to South American political films, and everything in between.

Letters From The Underground- Volume 2: New Directors Workshop, a feature film in 3 to 9 minute segments, produced for SLFF under the direction of Joshua A. Triliegi.

An original multi-director feature film program bringing to life the letters, journals and diary entries of notable thinkers, artists, musicians who have made a contribution to the way we now live, to be premiered at the Silver Lake Film Festival in May of 2007.
