SILVER LAKE SHORTS: Silver Lake Film Festival presents "Silver Lake Shorts," a monthly screening of alternative short films and videos from around the world... and around the corner. Under the direction of Jason Dollar, "Silver Lake Shorts" is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month at AKBAR Bar and Club, 4356 Sunset Blvd. (at Fountain Ave.) in Silver Lake. SILVER LAKE HORROR AND PICTURE SHOW: The Silver Lake Horror Music and Picture Show played to full house on Tuesday October 31st at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on Melrose and Heliotrope in Los Angeles. The party opened with- fresh to LA- Young and Natural, and continued with alt rockers The Red Hearts. Mika Miko invited all the revelers onto the stage during their rousing set, and the night finished off with an eclectic and heavily anticipated set by Gravy Train!!! SUNDANCE PARTY, 2006: The Silver Lake Film Festival teamed up with Queer Lounge & Filmmakers Alliance to throw one of the most hotly attended parties at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. More than 500 revelers -- filmmakers, industry pros, and press -- attended our party at the Sundance Film Festival on Tuesday, January 25th, 2006. The party, co-hosted by Silver Lake Film Festival, Filmmakers Alliance, and Queer Lounge, was held at Sundance's box office headquarters on Main Street in Park City.
